What is an African Prison Like?

Prison Fellowship & YouA Nigerian prison is unlike anything you've probably ever experienced. No bed, no mattress, no pillow, no blanket, very little food, no medical or dental care, not even a bar of soap.

To begin to appreciate the circumstances, go to your garage this evening and go to sleep on the unfinished concrete floor, just you and the concrete, nothing else.

In the morning have yourself a bagel, that's it for the day.

Take a shower using cold, unsanitary water out of a bucket, but don't use soap. Stay in the garage all day and continue like that for the next six months, minimum. You will then begin to appreciate the conditions under which our prisoners live.

We invite you to Support Prison Fellowship Nigeria to alleviate the sufferings of these men and women created in the image and likeness of God and give them hope and a reason to live.
